Body mutilation in exchange for social connection.
Julia Drouhin and Edith Perrenot (Les Petites Annonces : LPA®) are two French artists who met in Tasmania at free-food-and-drink art openings. LPA® are strange strangers observing strangeness everywhere they go. LPA® develop series of performance and exhibition where preciousness is contained in a DIY and absurd set up, drawing on their respective backgrounds in visual and sound arts, design, cabaret and installation.
They delivered dadaist musical shows for Faro at Mona, playing all sorts of instruments (including a xylophone of squeaking pigs). Their first exhibition Fair Distancing at Good Grief Studios for Mona Foma 2021 was concerned about hug’s metaphysics and socially distanced games.
