This work looks at isolation versus solitude, dreaming of another time, another life, another place. The dancer’s movement references the memories and experiences that are contained within our bodies, working in contrast to the banality of our domestic day to day.
Glen Murray, Artistic Director of Invisible Practice, is an independent artist based in Hobart Tasmania. Glen was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2011 travelling to the UK, Europe and North America in 2012 to study international best practice in the cultural engagement of mature adults.
In his first career Glen was a member of a number of Australia’s foremost dance companies, primarily the Australian Dance Theatre, Australian Ballet and Sydney Dance Company, touring classical and contemporary repertoire nationally and internationally in a career spanning 17 years.
